The Superior Public Works Department The Superior Public Works Department will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2026 in observance of the New Year holiday. This will include the Municipal Landfill. Due to the holiday, garbage pickup will be on an accelerated schedule. Monday and Friday routes will have no change. Tuesday and Wednesday routes should have their garbage out on Monday by 7:00 am. Thursday routes should have their garbage out on Tuesday by 7:00 am. Be aware there may be delays on some routes. RECYCLING: The recycling schedule will be one day behind for Thursday and Friday pickups. Recycling questions can be directed to Hartel's Disposal at 218-729-5446.
