DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL DIVISION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department Jail Division, Douglas County, Wisconsin, that it will receive sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on October 14, 2021 in the office of the Douglas County Clerk, Room 101, 1313 Belknap Street, Superior, Wisconsin, 54880. Bids will be opened in room 270 of the Courthouse immediately following the 2 P.M deadline. The Project is as follows: 1. Douglas County Jail - second floor Holding Cell Renovation Project *The project consists of the partial demolition and expansion of the existing single holding cell and double holding cell area on the second floor, to three separate double holding cells, adding a shower and adding an interview room as per plans and specifications. Bid documents may be obtained via the online service QuestCDN (project number 8033341) or at www.douglascountywi.org/iailholdingcellrenovation. A prebid meeting will be held in room 270 of the Courthouse on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2pm. It is recommended that the primary contractor attend, as well as interested subcontractors. All participants of the prebid meeting that want to tour the renovation space inside the jail will need to pass a background check prior to the prebid meeting. Send your full name and photo ID to Tyler Edwards (edwardstyler@ci.superior.wi.us) no later than Thursday September 30 at 2pm. Masks are required inside of the Jail Facility. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the Douglas County Responsible Bidder Ordinance #1.32. Douglas County Sheriff's Department - Jail Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities in bidding, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of the Douglas County Sheriff's Department - Jail Division.
